Fiber reinforced Plastic Profiles

Green Profile
The topic of sustainability has long since arrived in the production of plastic profiles. For example, there is already a network dealing with the topic of sustainable plastics in the EU. Production waste and old material are professionally recycled and reused. We dedicated ourselves to this aspect several years ago and conducted intensive research. Now we have succeeded in processing various bioplastics into profiles using the extrusion process.
Together with our customers, we are thus making a contribution to environmental protection, climate change and the reduction of CO2 emissions. Our bioplastics are based on renewable raw materials and mimic nature’s material cycle. Their aim is to use nature’s resources without further waste and to recycle them efficiently. Unlike mineral oil plastics, bio-plastics are partially compostable. You, as our customers, do not have to forego the quality you are used to in any way!
Which bioplastics are available?
The different fields of application require individual solutions. This principle also applies to bioplastics.
Thermoplastic starch and starch blends (TPS) are currently the most important representative of bioplastics and at the same time serves as the basic framework for the plastic. The second component is water-repellent, biodegradable polymers. In everyday life, we often find this sustainable plastic in coatings, packaging and compostable plastic bags.
The transparent material of polylactic acid (PLA & PLA blends) can be deformed when heat is applied. It therefore has similar properties to conventional thermoplastic bulk plastics, but its molecular structure makes it biodegradable in industrial composting facilities. This plastic is used for cosmetic jars, hygiene products and mulch films in agriculture, among other applications.
Polyhydroxybutyric acid (PHB), is a polyester that can be produced from renewable raw materials, with properties similar to those of the plastic polypropylene. Unlike other polymers, it is not soluble in water, but dissolves under a certain level of acidity. This combination makes it perfect for use in medical applications, such as when implants themselves are degraded by the body.
Wood Plastic Composites (WPC), is a thermoplastic processable composite material made from renewable raw materials (natural fibers), synthetic plastics such as PP and additives. Our customers in the design and furniture industries use it to counteract the deforestation of tropical woods. This is because environmentally friendly alternatives to household appliances, chair and shelving systems can also be developed.
